My face cant take two times a day 1 ml of minx.Use once in a day app in night. But in day time, i have started to use Fluocinolone acetonide corticosteroid cream. Its my 6 week with minox. And there is some improvment, hairs are becoming thicker and noticable on chicks. Is this combination good?

A mild cortisone cream should help with flakey & red skin from minox use, so yeah good combo, but be careful with the steroid cream.

I have a quick question that I would like to ask. I already got a decent beard, but my eyebrows have always been a bit far apart.I got quick a bit of hair on my face and a few hairs/fuzz on my forehead between my eyes, and I was wondering if I could grow them longer and part of my eye brows with Rogaine use? Is it gonna look really different cause the hair type is different? Is eyebrow hair different to facial fuzz? Cheers

I am confused because some support using it with minox while others do not. I really need a clear explanation? thanks for all answers waiting an answer for two day! Beard Friendly Posts: 61 (10/31/09 12:56:12) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	@beardbeard tretinoin cream promotes exfoliation and dermal exchange, its going to irritate your skin and make it more sensitive to sun, cold, heat, wind etc. so I wouldn't combine it with minox unless it is prescribed by a physician because the irritation that comes with minox will be magnified, now if you are one of the guys that doesn't experience any irritation with the use of minox, maybe the tretinoin can increase the amount of minox that gets absorbed into your skin, potentiating its effect, that is why you cant get any specific answers, everybody reacts different And you are right, this tread is really slowing down

I WAS WRONG! never felt so happy to be wrong lol i dont use minox anymore, in the past two months i used it only like 3 times or so, where i got "weak" and thought i dont wanna loose my minox-gained-beard... now its pretty stable since weeks, no changes, nice density, ill post some pics as soon as i get my mobile cam working... im not gonna use minox from now on and ill see if its really gonna stay, i suppose it was a too fast conclusion the past times i posted here. i just have a bald spot (my sideburns are not even, on the right side there is a bald spot) i was thinking of applying minox only to that area, but since minox from anywhere in the face is absorbed also in other areas, ill try not to use it to be sure that after a 1 year usage of minox (every 2-3 days) the hairs become terminal enough to stay forever ill keep you update ,there is hope fellows since i dont have time to read here like earlyer, could someone post if there are some new treatments in the meanwhile? i was thinking of taking vitaminc lice zinc etc before i start something "serious" again. gl all!

I developed early compared to the kids my age. I have thick body hair, on my legs, arms and torso. The men in my family all have full, thick beards. I have NONE. I only have a little stubble on my chin, and some light hairs below my nose. I have no sideburns, and very little hair grows on my upper neck/under my jaw. Most of you would think i'm only impatient, but the thing is that i've had the same facial hair since i was sixteen. NO change whatsoever had happened on my facial hair growth. Should I try this strategy you guys did?? thank you all for your future answers

Beard Newcomer Posts: 7 (11/06/09 12:35:59) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	lol where are the guys of the experiment !! did they give up or what is going on?, we want to see the progress to feel there is hope of using minox i got 2 brands one is kirkland and the regaine of pharamacia company , both are 5% .the kirkland brand when i use it my skin gets dry and become like a tomato , but the 2nd brand is quite good no bad affects at all ( i think because it s around $60) by the way , i will post any obtained results %%%% offf the castor oil , u need to take shower after every usage.

I'm 23 y/o and latino/more of the native kind so bad luck for me cuz we natives don't grow much hair. I started applying minoxidil 5% from Walgreens for a month now. I am happy to say i have noticed some new hair grow on my cheeks where i had absolutely none. I only grow hair on my mustache and on my chin but i can't even grow a full lock. So now i'm seeing some thin black hair growing... it's exciting... Also i'm seeing some hair growth on my chest... where i didn't apply but it doesn't bother me because it is not much. i'll keep you guys posted next month with the new outcome.

However, recently i am experiencing 2 unwanted symptoms which could be attributed to the used of Minox and i would love to hear from other users out there for comments if they had similar experiences: 1. Facial swelling - this was generally mild and i did not really notice it till about 2 weeks ago when I was looking at some photos that was taken recently. My face appears to be swollen especially around my cheeks and neck area where minox was generally applied on. My skin feels and looks excessive and would kinda fold into drapes when i turn my neck at an angle. Preliminary online research suggests that this could be a result of water/salt retention thru the use of minox 2. Numb hands - 3 days ago my left palm started feeling a little numb... that got me really worried but i was surprised to later discover this could also be characteristical of minox side effects. I have the following few questions: - Do the symptoms go away!?? - If so how long before my skin gets back to normal? - should i seek medical attention for the symptoms - I have stopped using for the past 3 days and will wait to see if symptoms subside Anyone with similar experiences are welcome to share them. Beard Friendly Posts: 61 (11/17/09 13:14:33) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	@adam in your place I would give it just a few days (about 3) if you stopped using it and already 3 days have gone and the symptoms are still present you must seek medical advice, if the symptoms are already subsiding then just limit your salt ingestion, do exercise and dont ever use minox again, and you should be fine, sorry but is not worth it to risk your health for a beard, there are always other options

I have been using rogaine for two years but with two long breaks, and have gained a lot so far. however I think it is not worth for your health and money because when you stop, not all you gained but many of them will gone. I gave up yesterday and never gonna use it again.

Remember I started in April 2008 (mid March exactly), continued until April 2009 with small periods in which I applied the stuff less frequently. But I don't know if they are gonna stay there forever. My update: Background for new readers: - I am only applying minox in the middle of the stache (below the nose) and in the connectors of the goatee (not fully developed there) I had only a few non pigmented vellus hair there. - I am 29 y.o. - The rest of my beard and stache is full and thick (as you can see in the avatar picture). - I started using minox on september the 1st this year (almost 3 months ago). Results so far: At first (let's say first month) I noticed new vellus hair where I applied it, all of them unpigmented. Now I have the same vellus hair but they are getting darker, I noticed it about one week ago, and these have been the only results I've had. SIde effects: Only mild dryness and my face has swollen a little.
