judging by this photo your cheek has a vast crop of young terminal hair, which if gained more diameter would already result in full side coverage at a
respectable density.

I found the following information on the web:
No, "sexual type" hair continues to grow despite the presence of female hormones. Keep in mind that hormones are just triggers
that make certain things happen within the body.
I think this shows that with all of the experiments so far, that eventually the anti DHT agents need to be stopped once we have the desired density of beard coverage.

Hi and thx, do you have any advices how i can prevent them from falling off again? They are currently developing pretty good and in 1.5 months my minox supply
is gone and i dont want to lose them again ^^
Should i just use minox (or something similar) until the hairs get as thick and dark as "needed" for them to stay and not fall off? thx |

I beleive you need to use minox for a long time until the hairs have turn thick. Before it reaches this stage, you are at risk of losing what you gained.
Cultivator gave a good anology in this area. Think of the beard growth as a snowball on a hill. At first, snowball is very small and will not move, even though it is on a hill. As the snowball gets bigger and bigger, it will eventually creat enough mass to roll down the hill on its own. Hair follicles are the same. Until they reach a critical mass in width, they may revert back without the aid of minox. Once the hair follicle has fully matured, the hair will grow on its own.

Hm, isnt it already answered @ cultb? ^^ last time i didnt use it about 2.5 months and almost all the newly gained haris were gone. some of them at the jawline
(hope i write what i mean
i think im just gonna wait this time and let them become thicker before i stop using minox, sorry to disappoint you cult now im really upset.. i mean if i would have never stopped the last experiment i would be at the stage of 7 months now, but im in regular 3rd month now... this sucks ^^ i wonder how my beard would look like if i would be in 7th month of usage now |

It appears to be happening again - the hair on my arms comes out in bunches, with almost no effort, since I started on xandrox. Just realised it this evening.
This also happened first time round with minox, but it was more 'shedding' then - though I didn't try pulling it at the time. Only the non-terminal
hair was effected then, or at least my head hair wasn't. But since xandrox is far more powerful, maybe I won't be as lucky this time...
It's worrying that hardly anyone else seems to have reported this as a side-effect. No other 'problems' though. Hmmm, what to do.... |

halfabeard: It's been noted that use of minox (or any of the stuff we've been using, to be honest) can produce side effects in some people, usually
unwanted hair growth in certain areas *feels silly for stating the obvious*
Week 12 Update As I noted last week, I shaved for the first time. Little stubby hairs had started growing back only two of three days afterwards My mom attacked me with shaving cream today, trying to get me to shave again >.< I refused, as the hairs aren't even noticeable unless you're standing DIRECTLY in front of me. Last little bit of my minox supply is almost completely out, so I bought another 3-month supply. Have to stick with regular 5% minox 'cause I wouldn't know where to get Xandrox. I also find it a bit silly why the Equate and Rogaine minox brands are differently priced when they have the exact same solution %, amount of mL, and even the same ingredients. Keeping my fingers crossed for more improvement. ~Sangaera |

Sounds like you are making great progress. As far as the price of Equate compared to Rogaine, I agree they have the same active ingrediants. I think the
price differential is due to the power of Walmart's buying power.

ZMA!!! | ||
|
Hi guys, I got a question for you. I have been using minox+emu oil+folligen for the last 4 months. As an athlete I started taking ZMA before I go to sleep for a better recovery and growth of the muscles. Anyways, I'd like to know if the ZMA is causing an hair loss or the other way around, which means helping in the process of the minox. The ZMA contains Zinc, Magnesium and B6. I know that deficiency of Zinc can result in hair loss, but may be if you combine these minerals all together, it can do the opposite. What do you guys think? |

Hi guys,
I thought it would be nice to post something about my progess. I startet at the end of 2006 but in between I paused the minoxidil application (5%) for several months. A picture says a thousand words. Before: http://i31.tinypic.com/d4gg9.jpg http://i32.tinypic.com/sz7x2s.jpg http://i28.tinypic.com/4ln5md.jpg http://i30.tinypic.com/29z3nrn.jpg As you can clearly see in the before pic I had no beard whatsoever. My problem now is the growth on my cheeks. Unfortunately, the growth on my cheeks is somewhat lagging. Somebody has an idea how to let more beard hair grow there? Greets |

That's huge improvement dark blue, it's really impressive. You still apply minox on your face or you stopped?

Dark Blue you have insane results.
Could you please give more info regarding your regimen? What else did you use except minox 5% ? Can you also give us a brief description of the progress you had? When did your facial hair really take off? How old are you ? ( getting these amazing results while 24-->26 is far more impressive than 18-->20 ) |

dark blue, i'm just curious how long did it take you to see your results. i have been using minox. 5% for about 4 months and have seen nothing. some very
very thin hairs but that's it and those can't even been seen. how long did it take for you to see your hair starting to become thick. i don't want
to stop but i don't feel like i'm getting any results just dry skin and wondering if its even worth continuing. from what i read on the board people
started seeing something at least after 3 months, hasn't been the case with me yet.
