Hi,
I find this website where it says that cholesterol-lowering drugs like Crestor, Zocor or Zetia can turn gray scalp hair dark. I wonder if it will do the same for blonde facial hair? http://www.peoplespharmacy.com/2009/01/05/does-crestor-tu/
I am 33 years old and I did experiment with Rogaine in 2004, which was a success. Of course I would have wanted more facial hair than I got, but that´s how it usually goes. When I started I had blonde hairs on my jaw and above upper lip. I could grow a small goatee, but it was hardly visible. I had really no other facial hair. After three months I started to get lots of dark hair under my jaw, neck area, jaw line and sideburns. I also got some dark hair on my cheeks, but not that much. After using Rogaine for three months I went hiking for three weeks and during that time I got most of the new growth. I guess it was partially because of my testosterone levels were higher, because I was walking 8 hours a day and because I got lots of sunshine on my face. I used Rogaine for a year and missed only couple times to apply it. When I quit I saw no reduction in facial hair amount.
Since that time I have done two more experiments with Rogaine hoping to get more hair on my cheeks and moustache, but after using for six months I quit because I got no new hair at all. So right now I have quite a lot dark hair under my jaw, jaw line and sideburns. There are few dark hairs on my cheeks too, but my jaw and moustache are blonde. There is about same amount hair there than on the other areas, but the hair is just blonde adult hair. Hair on my scalp is medium brown, but when I was young I had quite blonde hair.
So now I am thinking to work with what I already got and see if I can find a way to make those blonde hairs darker. If you guys have any knowledge about how to get darker facial hair without dyeing, I would really appreciate it....I find this website where it says that cholesterol-lowering drugs like Crestor, Zocor or Zetia can turn gray scalp hair dark. I wonder if there is another herb that has the adverse effect? I try to find more information about this and other methods to get darker facial hair naturally. I keep you posted.
