Hey guys i've hit 14 weeks of having some kind of facial hair and i'm really enjoying it. I did have a chinstrap but got rid of it due to irritation
and i think some ingrown hairs that really hurt. However, I still have facial hair. I shaved down to sideburns (trimmed) with a goatee/stache combo. I really
like the look of it and think it turned out really well.

The style looks great on you! Very big 'stache for your age, I'm sure glad you kept it.

Thanks Dano! I've gotten the urge to shave the 'stache a couple times but I'm glad I didn't. I think the stache is one of the most defining
features of a beard.

Without wishing to teach a granny to suck eggs...
To avoid ingrown hairs... Open your pores up with liberal amounts of warm water. Use a face wash/scrub too, they take off the layer of dead skin and surface oils that cause spots. Apply your shaving foam/oil/gel/cream to a wet face Shave with the grain (down on the front of the face, up on the underside of the chin) Be very gentle around the neck area. Use a shap blade at all times. Rinse your blade after every stroke. Wipe off excess foam/oil/gel/cream with warm face cloth. Splash with ample cold water to close the pores right up. Pat (don't rub) your face dry with a clean towel Apply a good quality moisturiser to your clean, dry face. Reapply moisturiser in between shaves. Other than that, good beardy effort. |
