The far right image will give the illusion of an elongated face.
As for trimming, even trimming with the grain needs to be done carefully and with minimal pressure applied to the hair. It takes more passes with the trimmer pressing lightly, but reduces the chance of cutting too much off at one time. Don't ask how I know this. lol

Ok I tried to use my goateesaver to cut my goatee using the third template on the far right in my post above. I think it has helped a little to maybe lengthen
my round face but what do you guys think? Is the goatee maybe not square enough? I am open to suggestions for improvement? I did the best that I could
considering that I cant yet grow connectors from my chin to my mustache and my soul patch area has very light coloured hair. I think my face is round but some
people have told me I have a sort of oblong face but I really dont know. Also I could use some advice with my sideburns as I dont know where to make my
sideburn line? Currently I just left it level with the bottom of my earlobe just above mouth level but maybe my rounder face would suit a higher cut off point
up near eye level? Also maybe my sideburns are too wide? I plan to continue to let the goatee that is in place grow and then its just a matter of deciding if I
want to keep the cheeks clean shaven like it is now or else I may keep a little stubble on the cheeks for that full beard look with a longer chin. What do you
guys think? Particularly need advice on how to style my sideburns.

The first thing to say is you have an excellent style right now. You would look good if you kept it exactly as it is. The stache/goat is strong and well
shaped, and the side burns are good, but will look better if you let them get a bit thicker. However if you are considering a modification to this style, and
you do seem to have a preoccupation with the shape of your face, and a desire to change the appearance. In that case I would suggest letting the chin grow
significantly longer, say an inch or two at least. As your the cheeks, it's your choice whether you keep them clean shaven or wear short stubble. I
don't think that would make a great deal of difference to your overall style. The main thing is to really get the length going in the chin.

Good style, longer length on the chin will elongate your face and make it look thiner. Look like from your earlier pictures you that you could grow a beard,
have you ever tried ?

Yup, a longer chin would reduce the roundness you seem to dislike so much.

The shape looks fine, even if your chin and moustache don't join. As has been said, the longer length on the goatee would help make your face look longer
overall, and detract from the roundness. Your sideburns look fine as they are.
