accepting/rejecting "friends" |

I just had a guy try to add me as a friend on Yuku...he does not post to the beard board and I had never heard of him before...so I just politely
"declined" his request. He then sent me a private message that basically questioned my Christianity simply because I declined his friend request.
Is it considered rude and inconsiderate to not accept a friend request (even if you don't have a remote clue as to who they are)?? Looking for feedback...

If they didn't even send you a message in regards to who they were, then no, I wouldn't consider it rude. I'd do the same.

doesn't sound rude to me. just sounds like you have a self righteous @$$wipe trying to judge you.

There's always people with warped minds and views out there. Don't think too much about it man.
I hated going to weddings. All the grandmas would poke me saying "You're next". They stopped that when I started doing it to them at funerals. |

Don't worry about it, Alan. It's not rude to decline a friend request from somebody you don't know. I look at it this way - if a stranger came up
to me and said he wanted to be my friend, I wouldn't blindly just say "OK". I'd say "Tell me about yourself, and let me get to know you
better first."

No it's not rude if you don't know who they are, He could just be trying to build up his rating.

If I have "talked" with you on this board, then I don't mind calling you a friend, I think we all understand that it's not the same as knowing someone in person...but for someone that I have NO clue as to who they are, wanting me to "friend" them. I just found the guy to be a jerk, but I wanted to see what the rest of you thought. Okay, I've erased the experience from my brain. Thanks for the feedback fellas!! |

Rude? No, not at all. Adding random people as friends does not benefit either party involved.
