I finally have decided to challenge myself to a years worth of growth. For 365 days i challenge myself and others to let their facial hair and or head hair grow! Either challenge is welcomed.

Imagine being stranded on an island like in the movie "Castaway" but for just one year only. You would have no choice or need to cut your hair and it would take place regardless of the world around you. Now try to pull off the same feat in the modern world!
There are no requirements for the amount of hair you have in either challenge but whether its head or facial hair it all must be let to grow.

I welcome anyone to join either challenge if you think you have it in you and even any females out there that frequent this board and wish to challenge themselves to a years growth of head hair.

Once you have completed a castaway challenge i will post your beginning and end pic up in the Castaway survivor Hall of Fame below.

Facial Hair:

1. You must post a starting picture in the thread of your starting length and look to begin the challenge. This challenge is one year of growth from where you are now and not how long you have been growing it already.
2. No cutting or shaving is allowed except for the mustache area that grows down over the top lip, this will be permitted to be trimmed if you wish. Imagine a castaway burning it off with a small flame to aid in eating. All other areas must go untouched since they dont hinder anything practical.
3. You must post an update in the thread at least once a month to stay in the challenge. If you cant post pics for a certain month due to reasons beyond your control but you still want to participate you can stop by the challenge here and notify us of this so we can know that you are still game or drop me a message.
4. Breaking from these rules eliminates you from the challenge.


Head Hair:

1. You must post a starting picture in the thread of your starting length and look. This challenge is one year of growth from where you are now and not how long you have been growing it.
2. No kind of cutting or trimming is allowed.
3. You must post an update in the thread at least once a month to stay in the challenge. If you cant post pics for a certain month due to reasons beyond your control but you still want to participate you can stop by the challenge here and notify us of this so we can know that you are still game or drop me a message.
4. Breaking from these rules eliminates you from the challenge.
