Hey guys,

I was planning on growing my beard out but unfortunately I had to shave for a job interview. I was on week 4 and this is how it looked.

I shaved 9 days ago (I wish I wouldn't but I had no choice). It seems like my beard is growing back very slow. I usually had to shave every 2-3 days before, but now I'm at day 9 and there is very little stubble.

I've not changed my diet or lifestyle. I was thinking that maybe it's because of the weather? I live in The Netherlands and it's very cold this time of the year. I'm really desperate right now... I feel like I'm 12 years old and I want my beard back...

It's only been 9 days. The 4 week beard was looking good, and it will look that way again. I know how frustrating it is to wait through another beard growing process, but your beard shall return. Just sit back, and enjoy the process again. Grant it, some guys on here seem to be able to grow a month beard in one week...But for most of us, we have to wait a little longer.

By the way...In the future, perhaps you may not want to shave for a job interview, because I think it's better if an employer sees you for how you normally look. As long as you keep the whiskers looking groomed, then I don't think there should be a problem.

Is it normal that a beard has slow growing periods? It's day 10 now and I normally would have a pretty good stubble beard.

As for the job, you are probably right

I won't shave again for an interview.

Wow! we never saw your beard before, I don't think. Grow it back. don't worry about it. it is probably in a resting phase and will grow out like it did before in due time. A full natural beard is going to look awesome with your long head hair.

Dont know if its the weather. Im Dutch and have also shaved recently, and doesn´t look like it is growing back slower this time.
Although I should say my growth speed has never been fast anyway..

This rules out the weather then. I guess it's just a resting phase like fullbeard said.

Ya I have the same thing. I over trimmed my beard and have been trying to repair it by letting more grow and have found that it took a while to get going. It seems to have woken up now, and I'm sure yours will too.
