Hola my bearded amigos! For those of you who remember me, I'm TeeJay, the Hispanic lad with rusty-red and black facial hair! I was in the process of growing a yeard, but due to some unfortunate life issues, I had to stop and for a while I didn't know what my plans were for my life and my beard. The last time I had attempted a full beard, I was having some job related issues and I had been led on to believe I would have gotten a security officer job at the DIA if I trimmed down my beard. It ended up not happening and I fell into a really bad funk with life and the disappointment that I trimmed my beard down for pretty much no reason at all.
Well, now in 2016, I have a very good paying job with some very cool people! The best part? I can grow my beard without any issues at all! So, with life finally looking good and with a fresh year ahead, I decided to make 2016 the year I grow my yeard! I can honestly say this time I feel like it's the right time to do so. In the past attempt, I had uneven growth due to me trimming different parts of my beard and mustache at different times and I always felt like it was off. This time (January 26th, 2016) I started totally clean! I shaved off all the hair on my head and all of my facial hair with a razor to really give it a clean slate! The style I'm growing is the full beard, untouched until I reach my yeard or half-yeard status which then I'll go to a very good barber who deals with beards and allow him to clean it up. I'm also going to be growing my hair out as well.
Now, before I get to the pictures, I do have a question for y'all, if I started my beard growing on January 26th, 2016, would it be a yeard if I grow it until January 26th, 2017? I think that's correct, but I'd just like to be 100% sure.
Alright! Picture time! Here's a silly beard picture I took in 2015, this was the longest I had it at before I trimmed. I believe this was at 7 months. Pretty fluffy, I know! When I had it combed and waxed, it looked much better!

Now here's me today at 1 month of beard and hair growing! I just got out of the shower and I have a headache, so sorry for the way I look and how my hair is.

Sorry for the large photos. I scaled them down to medium size, but they still seem large to me. I'm also trying to decide what I want to do with the area under my bottom lip. As you can see in my first picture, I shaved it down to one giant oval since my beard and soul patch never connected too well. It grew in more, but I'm not totally sure about it. I'll have to see as my beard continues to grow! Also, if I can say one thing about my beard as it looks now, a lot has filled in over the course of the years. I had a huge patch on my right side that didn't want to fill in, but now has. Same with my connectors!
It feels good to be back in such a wonderful community! God bless!
