Hi guys. I have been following this site for about two years, and have been a member for one. This is my first post. I wanted to commend everyone for keeping what I have found to be a positive, encouraging site. I am looking for a little guidance and I am wondering if you can help me out. I have had facial hair since high school - for about 20 years. I have tried moustaches, goatees and full beards. For the last four years I have had a full beard. I have always worn my hair and beard at the same length - about 4 weeks growth. I was involved in sports that didn't lend themselves to longer hair, and after I stopped the sports, I just carried on the look out of habit and convenience.I have never grown my facial hair past about six weeks. I generally buzz my hair and beard at the same time when it starts getting close to an inch, and I cut it back to about a 1/2 inch. I normally dont trim, keep a neckline, use shampoo or anything like that. I just run the clippers over my head and face once a month. The thing is, with winter coming, and the exposure to some of the monster beards on this site, the whole 'grow for three or four months' thing has slowly been creeping into the back of my mind. I am blonde. And I mean that in the borderline white, glow in the dark kind of blonde. I was wondering what you guys think about that look (3-4 months growth with a pronounced lack of pigment
), and if there are any other members with longer beards that have the same coloring as I do? I haven't been able to find anyone as of yet, and if anyone could steer me in the direction of some photos with larger blonde beards, I would sure appreciate it. Let me know if you think I should let it grow, keep it short, or just start covering my face with a toque all winter. Thanks for the enjoyment I get from reading all the posts, and thanks in advance for any advice you might be able to offer!
