Hello Everyone,
Tl;dr Beard twirls, no uniform thickness. Should I start fresh ?
Ive been growing a beard since past august, shaved clean once, trimmed to a stubble once but this is definitely longest, and I'm having a wierd issue.

So my beard is wavy overall and the beard right below my cheekbone twirls up into a ugly looking loop. This happened before with beard hair close to my neck line and I chopped off the loop and raised the neck line to avoid the issue but now the beard hair that twirls is right on my chin. I can trim this too but I'm going to loose a lot of length.
The picture is with me combing it close to the skin. To avoid looking this lame i've been brushing it up but on the downstroke I used my hand to push it down. This gives me sort of unkempt beard but I was willing to make that sacrifice.
Also I have no uniform thickness on the left and right side. The left side is significantly thinner than right side. (A few weeks ago, I wanted to trim the temple area and might have overdone it on left.)
The only options I see are these
1) Trim it loose the length (This might look a bit off because I'm going to loose lot of length on both front below chin and also on the sides. )
2) Try hair dryer to straighten it.
3) Cut your losses short , clean and start fresh again.
What do you all think I should do ?
PS
This community is very nice and responsive. Everyone here has a magnificent beard. I'm realizin if there's a ugly beards competition I'm definitely gonna win that **smh**
