Welcome to the board... you have an amazing young man's fullbeard for just 17 y/o. You have styled it well and it looks so intentional on you. It is still in development and as such, spots will continue to fill in. How big would you like your beard to get?
Keep posting pictures as you change things up.

Dan,
Your beard looks good! Only 17? No problem. Lots of younger guys are growing out. Don't worry about flaws, at 17 I don't think your beard will not improve. Keep us posted!

Welcome to the board... you have established an adult fullbeard at just 17 y/o which means you can grow just about any beard. You have it shaped very nicely and it looks good on you at this length. At this point you should be applying about 5-6 drops of jojoba oil daily, brushing the beard and mentally getting used to your beardedness.
The choice to grow longer is more about how you want to be perceived by others at your age. If you grow longer, you will look older and that may push some of your peers away. OTOH, if you maintain this look for a while, others will get used to it and even expect you to remain bearded. Down the road a bit, you may get the urge to grow bigger and at that point, others will accept the bigger style.
Let us know your thoughts and keep updates coming when you want to show changes or improvements.
