I have been combing my goatee for ages with the same cheap comb. I've seen a couple of comments though advising people not to use cheap ones.
My main question I suppose is.... why? I can see that the teeth aren't bending other than perhaps a little in a parallel direction to the length of the comb.
I also have a dog comb that I used to use on my old border collie that looks almost exactly like that Kentish one that people keep going on about. The teeth are a wee bit further apart, but not by much. I tried it (why the hell not?) and it didn't seem to make any difference. Other than smelling like the old dog and making me nostaligic.
My secondary question is to do with brushes. What are the advantages of these? Even before thinking about the boar brush that I've heard so much about. Are they even slightly helpful until things get really long? And if so what do they actually do?
P.S. if it wasn't already obvious, I have a lot of Scottish blood in me.
