Did you try the pony tail with or without your centre parting? You could try tieing the "frindge" part of your hair back. Or loose your parting for
the night and gel it all back. Or just put up with the pony tail for 5 minuets. Try some styles then take and post some pics. I for one would be happy to help
you choose.

Hi twisted,
Great Hair! I'm letting mine grow too. Check out a half-tail style, you still have your hair down but it's out of your face. Here's a sample and a link: half-tail long haired guy's site with lots of styles You can check out the Men's Long Hair Hyperboard at mlhh the members are very friendly and helpful. Good luck, Wahl |

I hear you when you say you don't dig ponytails. I've been growing my hair for over 4 years now, though I cut it all off twice. Each time it was long
enough to ponytail I hated it when I tried it.
If you don't want to ponytail it, you can try to just put it behind your ears. You can put all of the hair behind your ears or just the front. That should keep it out of your face. |

I agree with Spring water.^ One of my (European) cousins wore her hair all the way down past her waistline! - I still remember Yvon with such a long (almost)
TRANE of hair amazingly away from her face. You can "secretly "part" the hair away from your face (behind your ears or half-cascading (over) and
no one will know "your secret."
I am also growing a FULL-LENGTH "trane." - I am planning to donate my hair to Locks of Love when it reaches the 10 inch point. I am already 7 years on the way as I have merely 4 inches long. How much longer should I have to wait for the 10-inch length? P.S. On which TV(??) Network can you be seen? - I have a VCR that is YEARNING to be used. |

It's cool seeing long hair on Native American Dudes, because that is a sign of their heritage, plus they kind of have that instead of facial
hair...However...I don't really get the long hair and clean shaven look on anybody else, like the 1980's hair bands. I especially didn't get it
when, the 80's hair band members put some makeup on...To each his own, but I don't get it... However long hair with sideburns, chinstrap, stubble or
beard, or whatever type of facial hair style, I think is really cool, because that shows masculinity, and also vikings had long hair and long beards, so I get
a sense of that with scruff and long hair. Pony tails are cool too! My uncle has an average sized circle beard with sideburns and long hair in a ponytail. I
think of him as my pirate-viking uncle.
I like twister's style because he is sporting scruff along with his long hair.

I saw this post the other day & I have to say it does hit close to home for me. I have been a long hair all my life, I
will be forty six in a few days & I will offer what I know. If you are going to be a long hair you have to come to terms with the fact that there are times
you are going to have to put it up. I do not like pony tails myself but I do use them quite often. Not just for social events or job interviews & meetings
with clients. You are going to find you need it out of the way, working on cars and around machinery. Wait till you role over your hair on a creeper. Some
times you have to be like water & make things work for you. My hair has been my greatest asset in my life. People meet me once and the remember me for
ever, that is a powerful. You will find more people will support your long hair than don't but they are silent & you will not know they are there till
you cut it off. What I am saying is be yourself but learn to know when to hold your ground and when to be like water.

Behind the ears, using a bandana, or pushing it back in a beanie, IMO, though I don't think pony tails look bad as long as they're laying down rather
than the "horse tail" look.
