Hello fellow beardsmen! I have been growing my beard for a year and a half now... gave it a good trimming once in that time after a clipper accident forced me to have my hair stylist even it out for me. My beard is about 4.5 to 5 inches long now.
My question is:
Has anyone ever had any problems with hard water making their beard feel unclean and harder to manage and what steps can I take to avoid this? After the shower and after my beard dries completely... I will notice a white, powdery substance in my comb that I can only assume is in fact hard water residue. I wash my beard with Grampa's Pine Tar soap followed up with moroccan argan oil conditioner every so often when I feel it is needed but I live in an apartment with no way of hooking up a water conditioner anywhere. I have noticed that when I do shower where there is a water softener hooked up my beard feels so much better and softer. Any thoughts or advice?
