Hi there, I'm Shane!
Welcome to the very beginning of my beard journey! I'm a brand new member and I've recently decided to try to make some changes to my life, and a few of those were to work out more, to eat better, and to change my style. So i figured I'd make a project out of it! (because that's the kind of person I am)
I'm currently on a mission to lose some weight and build some muscle, hopefully lose about 15 lbs of fat and put on some weight to make me look less frail. Over the next three months I've decided to work out regularly, and not allow myself to shave until either the three months is over or I complete my goal, and at the end I get to treat myself to styling, or if I hate it, removing my facial hair.
I have red hair so I've always been a little bit apprehensive about growing out my facial hair becuase it looks so sparse to me and the mustache is so blonde it doesn't even look like its there from far away. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how I could make my mustache look a little more prominent or thick, even if I cant do that until the end. Also, I have no idea what style of beard would look good on me, so I'd like to ask all of you for some help on finding a good one that suits my face and haircolor.
Other than that I just had a few questions on how to make it look good during these months that I let it grow. My mustache kinda sticks up every which way and I cant get it to just lay flat. Is there anything I can do to fix that? Also It's incredibly itchy and resembles steel wool to me, what are some good methods at making it softer?
Right Now I'm at about 3 weeks of growth. Feel free to critique my beard :P Just please be friendly.
