My experience is that beard oils and specially other hair health stuff hardly makes a difference. I do understand that for the most of you here on the board your beard has become a hobby and it's fun to reed and try al kinds of stuff with it. Just saying it's not a must for a healthy beard.
Two of my friends have beards including myself and we all just treat it normal like our hair on top.
The whole cold water, no shampoo, oils etc. is BS! My friends and I also went trough the stage of using this stuff when we grew our first beard. Now we just let it be and it looks and feels just the same as when we where using all kinds of healthy hair stuff.
No more splitting ends than when we where using stuff and it looks just as healthy.
Maybe in some cases it's recommenable if you let say have really dry skin or but if your a regular dude like me, just treat your beard just as you do your hair on top. Saves a lot of cash and time ;-).
(Ok, I do use some jojoba if I want to look nice but thats it!)
