I've been growing a full beard for 17 weeks now and my chin hair doesn't seem to want to grow longer than a half inch. It gets dry and has quite a few split ends that I try to trim regularly. My cheek hair is a good 2.5 - 3" though to the point where my beard is flat all the way around (see profile pic). My cheek hair is healthy and soft feeling. It looks ok now but I'm afraid that as I let it grow it is going to look funny. I picture it looking like a long hulihee but a very short goatee. I eat a healthy clean diet and drink plenty of water, am using Awesome Amish Beard Balm, wash and condition with Mane n' Tail, have tried using vitabeard and am now taking biotin.
Any suggestions on what I can do to help out my chin hair? Or are genetics just dooming me to never have that long beard I've always wanted?
