Hi, I stumbled across this site while looking for info on beards.
I've always kept mine neatly trimmed very short goatee style as I was a doorman for 10 yrs. Now, after seeing things like Lord of the rings and TheHobbit and even duck dynasty (some mighty fine beards) it inspired me to see what i could come up with.
I can't decide though whether to stick with the goatee and grow it as long as I can, or to go for the full on beard.
This is as it's been for years.
This is about 8 years ago.

And this is last year.

and this was taken a few weeks ago. Bit far away, I'll do a closer one.

Getting a nice bit of length to it, and I tend to keep sticking whiskers in my mouth and fiddling with my tongue with them!! It as bits that are very curly and i've thought of using my girlfriends straighteners on it but worried it would damage the hair.
half brown and half grey (kind of) I comb it every day as bits stick out on their own. Also thought about using some gel or something to try to set it straight as i'm always running my fingers through it and lightly pulling it down (gently) trying to straighten it a bit. I don't even realize I'm doing it.
Oh and I'm 42 next month, in case age makes a difference.
