hello, I've been growing a beard for about 6 months with about 2 thorough trims in between. I usually shave clean in the summer but i decided to go the distance since for a whole uninterrupted year. my question is i want to wash me beard more often and I have come to the conclusion that sulfate shampoos are bad, they are cheap but i think i will start putting more money in a good shampoo and use it more effectively each rinse. right now im going through what I have left but mixing it with joba joba oil. I really like the results, my beard feels smooth but there is a bit of grease not bread stick thick but a little. I don't want things complicated so I have been looking for a shampoo that is made with Joba Joba oil that would be good for my head and beard. However I have had a hard time finding a good economical shampoo that is made with Joba Joba oil. I have tried putting the oil in my regular shampoo but it don't think its doing the trick. there are, however, alot of reasonably priced organic shampoos made with argan oil. i have done research and read threads before posting to stop some redundancy . some suggest applying straight oil t to the beard after showering, but i would prefer yo a shampoo in the shower. some thread suggest shampooing from every three days or even longer to avoid stripping oils etc. I personally think my beard would feel and look better if i cleaned it with something everyday, i know i would definitively feel cleaner and i probably would just do it out of ritual reflex anyway and i do like the feel of good lather on my beard in the morning. I figure if i use a non sulfate organic shampoo it won't hurt my beard hair if i do it every day.
my beard is at the longest hair about 2-3 inches all around
i would rather wash and let it shape itself. i have been careful and conscious about the shape and everything and sometimes spending too much time in the mirror. im kinda getting sick of it. i grow a beard for one reason really, because I can
i can't say for certain what answer Im expecting, usually people ask a question just to hear the word yes but I'm open minded.
