I get asked all the time "If you could grow your hair back, would you?" And my answer is always "No".
I started going bald when I was in high school so that was terrible. Shortly after my 18th birthday I decided I was going to take control and shaved my head for the first time. Since then (except for a few stretches of prolonged laziness) my scalp has been smooth every day. I quickly realized that being bald wasn't just a hairstyle, it was a personality. And I fully embrace it. Being bald is part of who I am. I wouldn't be the same person with hair on my head. And I feel the same about my facial hair.
Even before I shaved my head I had facial hair. And apart from having to shave it off a few times due to being on my high school's wrestling team, it's been with me longer than my smooth head has. For 10+ years there has been hair on my chin. And I think it greatly defines who I am.
A bald head and a beard is responsible for who I am today. They are the first things anyone notices about me...and I wear them proudly!
