I was reading another book about DaVinci and it talked about the vision
behind sculpturing. One of the 'key' components is how little to remove from
the raw material, not necessarily how much.
It got me to thinking about beard trimming and how the same has always been true for
me. I've never been upset by taking off too little, but close to devastated a few times
when removing too much.
The message is go slow, taking off less than half what you think you want to remove, and the
results will probably be to your liking.
OK, rant over.
