I did have to trim some of the more wiley hairs and have tried to smooth out the neckline some. Since my last update, I found out about a 10 days ago that my work so graciously decided that after almost 17 years of service with them they could now effectively govern the organizations and processes I built in Austin and Montana solely from California - thus inviting me to spread my wings elsewhere. Surprisingly enough, I have felt extremely calm about the whole thing. I bring this up because I had an interview today at another local company doing what I do and was a bit worried about the beard. I decided to just go for it and let the chips fall where they may. When I met with the hiring manager, I casually indicated that I typically don't look like Santa Clause, but had been recruited into a play where my character was bearded. He just looked at me and said, "it's really no big deal... I usually have a beard after football season." I was relieved. The interviews went really well. Hopefully, I will not be looking to "spread my wings" for long. I think I need another couple of weeks to completely beef up the sides (though I do think the whole effect looks pretty good). Any comments or suggestions???
