I know how earlier in this thread I expressed the desire to grow a big bushy beard.  Well my beard was definately on its way to getting big and bushy.  I decided that it just wasn't for me, not at this point in my life at least.  So last weekend I gave myself a light trim with the grain to try to cut down on some of the bushiness.  I decided that the trim wasn't enough.

So yesterday I set out to give myself a proper trim.  My trimmer has settings from 1-9.  First, I trimmed the whole beard against the grain to a 9 except for the circle beard area.  I then trimmed the underside of my beard to an 8.  I then went back over the sideburn area and trimmed the tops to a 7 and the lower portion of the burns to an 8.  Next, I went to work on the goatee area.  I basically sculpted it to more of a point in the center using both the trimmer and scissors.  The main length was kept in the goatee.  I have also been keeping the longest hairs in my mustached trimmed so the just cover my top lip.  Hopefully once the upper mustache hairs gain some length, the stache will look much fuller.

I feel much more comfortable with the beard after the trim.  I have no regrets.  I can alway grow a "Big" beard whenever I want.

Well, what do you guys think?
