@Colin - Thank you. I appreciate the support. I'm currently working through the post transplant clinic visits but the doctors, nurses and staff are very happy with my progress so far (touch wood).
@Geoff - The support of my entire family has been crucial during this entire kidney ordeal. And yes, it is an amazing gift from my sister.
@Karl - Thank you. It is amazing what medical science can achieve. I do have to be careful being on immunosuppressants. This means using sunscreen regularly, avoiding colds & flu (as much as possible) avoiding high risk foods (eg. sushi, raw egg, cheeses with mold content etc.) and being carefully monitored. The dose of immunosuppressants is eventually reduced which helps too.

As to continuing post transplant events, this week I am scheduled to have my pd catheter removed and next week I have a stent removal scheduled.
