This isn't a picture update, but it's worth saying, I think:

I kind of had mentioned this already, but compared to a few months ago, I really have been "feeling," if not seeing, improvement on the sides. The hair on the sides has been feeling more and more "stubbly" against my hand after a week of not shaving (which is the standard time I give it out of pure laziness!), and less like thin hairs. And I feel like the weaker right side is finally maturing and attempting to catch up with what's on the left. Things are far from perfect, and like I said, there's not any visual improvement with it. But the hairs are definitely maturing on both sides. The neck development has been more difficult to notice, but I'm confident it's been moving along some, too.

It's only a matter of time now, gentlemen. I wouldn't be surprised if I attempt again in another six months or so.

“For God wished women to rejoice in their locks alone growing spontaneously, as a horse in his mane; but has adorned man, like the lions, with a beard.” - St. Clement of Alexandria
