Welcome to the board! So ... yes, beard genes come from both mother's and fathers sides and your beard will continue to develop well into your 20s, 30s and 40s ... so, plenty of time to grow. And, yes, you may have different genes than your brothers ... some brothers can grow, others can't ... I'm not a biologist and I don't have explanations for that, but, yes, brothers can have different beard growth.

You say that you tried the beard for a month and you had some success? How much success? I'd like to see how much coverage you have as a beard needs at least 3 months (13 weeks) to fill in - and if you are saying that you had coverage and it was slow going ... it may be on track and you just don't realize it. Also, you need to know that blonde beards are really cool - but ... they take longer to fill in and look filled in because they are light. So, you may not have given it enough time.

When are you getting that job? Did you put in your 2 weeks, yet? Why do you have to shave? I agree with BeardedFather, I've had many pizza delivery guys with beards ... is it a strict policy? Did you have the conversation with your boss? His boss? When you put your two weeks in, you probably could start it - if you did, would they fire you? Things to think about.

I bet you have more coverage than you think you do ... get some pictures up - even with a few days of growth. And let's see what ya got! My guess is that you have more coverage than you think you do!
