should I not expect much / any progress in that area (that is to say, should I not expect the "connection" of my sides with my chin) for a good while, even as the rest of the sides continue to mature steadily? Obviously, anything can happen, but if I know what to reasonably expect, that might help beard acceptance to come more quickly. wink.gif
Your sides are improving nicely and if you hadn't mentioned that small area still in development, I would have paid no heed to it.smiley: wink

But since you asked... here is my professional, medically based and thoroughly researched answer... we just don't know when to expect these connections.smiley: grin  You must make your acceptance decision based on the coverage you have now and I hope you will not wait until you have a completed beard to accept your beardedness.  Your beard looks quite good at this point and I urge you to consider what you have... it is time for you to accept.smiley: wink

Well... don't hold me to it, but I wouldn't be surprised if I try again in June... to follow my tradition of having grown a Van Dyke starting in June last year... but you know, those are just the rustlings in the trees, as it were. Anything is possible. I may wait until November.

Honestly, if both sides could have the density of my left side, I would probably be more open to growing it out now. Problem is, the right side is still pretty sparse, at least for the first couple months of growing, and still seems to have a lot of vellus hairs. The left side is mostly transitional / terminal even now.
