Welcome! Many a fine beard started with forgetting the shaver for a while.

It looks to me like you have plenty of coverage for the beard you're hoping to grow, you just need to let it happen. Plan on growing for at least 13 weeks, and probably a bit longer, with only some surface trimming to knock down the straggly hairs to get the look you want. I think you'll find that your beard will probably be a bit longer than you anticipate to get the look you want.

Also, I see you've carved a neckline. I suggest you try dropping it down to about 1 cm above your Adam's apple. Doing so will give your beard a fuller appearance. Also, don't knock that color variation! You're probably going to really like the contrast once it grows out.
