DoNTM0V3, thanks for always posting on my thread and turn this into a dialogue of friends.

Journeyman, I really love the "shirt" beards, how did you know? Seriously, your beard and your journey encouraged me when I started my own journey. Thank you so much for that.

GTIguy, although I have not commented on your thread, I've also been following and watching their progress. His beard is powerful. Thank you for your comments on my thread.

Slybeard, you don't have lost anything, because you're here and from here we continue forward.

Bfrnr, the amazing is that only until now I'm discovering the potential of my beard. As for the gang of bankers and motorcyclists, it is true the first and joke the second, in fact I myself belong to that group:

Our indigenous breeds have little to no facial hair. But this continent is the crucible of the mixing of races. So there are many europeans genes, first spanish and portuguese who were the first to arrive to this lands. The slavery joined to our blod the black genes. Over time, there were other migrations. French, germans and italians arrived, mostly south: Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay and Argentina, also in Colombia but little less. In Peru, belatedly, there was massive migration of japaneses. The history of migration to Latin America is impressive.

We are a mixed of races that brings together the indigenous, black and european. By our last names can be traced some of our genetic roots. I am González by one side and Londoño by the other. So in addition to my indigenous and black blood, I have some of basque, of andalusian, of moorish and of portuguese. Until the early twentieth century, who could grow a beard had one and were very popular, also moustaches. But as in the rest of the world, the beards were proscribed and stayed to a few men, mostly intellectuals. Today there is a resurgence of the beard. But on a continent with such indigenous blood, the percentage of beards is lower than in other parts of the world. And somehow are a rarity.

My next goal is six months, but I have permission of my wife to get a yeard. Let's see if I can do all the time without any trim.

Tom, thanks for the compliments. In my home my parents instilled me good health habits, so I have always maintained a certain workout and I try to eat well. I guess that helps to age well. And since we're on the subject, I suppose also that there is some genetic, something I owe to my black ancestors. May your days are always full of light although the sky appear dark.

Paul, his words honor me. You are one of the most important references in this Board. I know what you mean. And we share the same sensitive humanity. Thank you for share your support and friendship, always.

balbandit: one of the reasons why it is important to support others, it´s because there one find the truth that also need for encourage to himself. What you give you give (do not know if is understandable in english), but is something like that what you give to others you give to yourself.

Gato, I follow your thread and I read it often. And I know that despite having a big beard that many envy, you still face major challenges with it. That's why this Board is so great, because it is not just about beards, is about humanity.

Rene, I read your thread. Wow, impressive beard you have. If genetics could share, you'd have a lot to give to others. But since you can not share, at least you share your words. Thank you very much for they.
