Great to see your most recent update - and what a picture it is! I send my prayers and support for you and your mom. Know you have a lot of people behind you and here for you if you ever need it.

Enjoy the remaining days of 2015 and excited to see where life takes you in 2016!

Very kind of you, Hants, and thank you for your prayers on behalf of our family. God is faithful to us day after day. I hope you can weather the squalls of criticism and be the bearded seminarian you desire. My mom stopped voicing her disinterest in my beard decades ago when it was clear that it was a permanent part of my appearance and nothing she said was going to change it. Be respectful, of course, in your perseverance, and keep that bright bearded countenance we see in your posted images.

Your picture looks great, Sheriff. If you can package up some of that white stuff and ship it to California we could really use it.

Ahoy! and Happy New Year, Admiral! Seems to me that California is sharing in the bounty of snow and rain this season along the Sierras. We have already had more snow this year than all of the last snow season. Keep it comin' El Nino! I'm certain it will melt into the California reservoirs that supply you with water.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too! I'm sorry to hear how things are going with your Mother. We will be thinking of you.

Thank you very much, Paul. This sudden and precipitous decline in her condition is not at all what we expected would happen when we moved her. Still, we are glad she is no longer living alone in the duplex apartment anymore. We are already looking ahead to finding a place for her to live with more assistance when that time comes -- probably sooner than later.

That is quite the winter beard. It suits you well. I wish you all the best for 2016.

Cheers,

Sean

And all the best to you, Sean. Keep up the great results breaking artificial boundaries and expectations. I think you will enjoy the color variations you are developing. It will be inevitable anyway, so make the most of it.

Great pic. The beard really looks like part of you.

Yes, it's been part of me for practically four decades, and it isn't likely to disappear any time soon.

Hi Triibeard,
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! What a great "portrait" shot of you in the snow! Sorry that your Mom has declined in health since her move; how blessed she is to have your care during this time. Some of the times I was fortunate to be able to spend a few hours each day with my Mom as she was struggling with a terminal illness, though often difficult, were also some very precious times shared together for both of us. I hope and will pray that you all get to enjoy those kind of moments during these difficult times.
You found a winner indeed with your new barber! And I also have found The Admiral's "overnight" Beard Boost Whip amazing. Your beard is looking fantastic!

Many thanks, Beardinguy. You understand the blessing amidst the burden. We are working through this as a family, and I am thankful for all that has prepared us for this part of the journey.

Adding the the chorus of approval - that snow beard pic is frankly fantastic!! Your beard is looking very impressive indeed due to your barbers assistance - he seems like a keeper.

Yes, Jeremy the barber is a keeper. He's moving to a larger place and expanding from two chairs in his shop to four. I expect he will grow in business as his reputation becomes known around here. Thank you for the kind words about the photo. It was a sererendipitous shot when I had stepped out of my mom's building into heavy snowfall. I'd only been outside for a minute or two and had collected that much snow in my hat brim already. Those are fun moments to capture. What would we do without cameras on our cell phones?

Sheriff,

I wanted to say Happy New Year! I love your beard snow photo. It is a classic. Glad to see you enjoying the journey. Hope your family and you are well.

Erik

McGoose! HAPPY NEW YEAR, my friend. Have you been getting some of these wet storms that have hit us recently? This summer I'm sure we'll be grateful for every drop of rain and flake of rain we get now.

Sorry to hear about your mother. I hope that you are doing well. A belated Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you! Lego BHster is still MIA ... maybe Lego Triibeard has him in protective custody?

Hope you are doing well!

Greetings and thanks, BHster. Except for the taunting onset of a cold, I am well and looking forward to the New Year -- bearded, of course. Careful observers will note at least a four-inch shortening of my beard in the last couple of months, but I'm still well-established in Long Beards and expect to be for any foreseeable future.

LEGO Sheriff Triibeard has been busy with his own projects lately, so he and I haven't talked much about his hasty return from Germany. I'm not even sure he even debriefed with Dantes before using that gateway gizmo to get back here in time for the Nevada Day Beard Contest. If he's apprehended LEGO RiffRaff, then I haven't see evidence of him around here. I suspect RiffRaff is not in custody, because the Sheriff has been working on building something sophisticated, judging by the number of LEGO pieces that have been arriving since his return. Still a lot of mystery surrounding his trip to Europe if you ask me. We'll eventually hear about it, I expect.
