The only thing I think I would do on the neckline is even it out a bit.  I can't see a good picture of your neckline from the side, so I used the one underneath to show you:

I would just tidy it up a bit - you don't need much.  That said, if it does not bother you or look uneven, then leave it.  You don't need to do much.  Generally, necklines are carved a finger's width above the adam's apple and parallel with the jawline going back to the back of the neck.  In the above picture, the right side seems good naturally, you just need to even up the left side.  As you age, this will probably change and I would suspect that it will even out more. 

As to a long beard/trimming, look in Library Central on trimming tips.  I would let it grow another month and then if you don't want the length, keep trimming the bottom until the sides fill in more (and they will fill in a bit more).
