So, the "BotherBeard" is definitely worth growing! Dude ... yes, it is established. You have grown at least 13 weeks, I see you keeping it and it is now a part of you. So, my suggestion is to let it grow at least one more month to let the sides fill in more and let it get more complete. Unless, that is, you would want a longer beard? You have plenty of growth to have a good looking long beard, so that's going to be up to you. As to the neckline, if you want to grow longer, then leave it. If you are going to shape it up a bit, then you could carve one. I would not go too high. I'd just leave it and go for another 2-3 months. You can do a slight surface trim to shape it if you wanted to do so, but I don't know that it needs it. Okay, so ... yes, it is established ... let me know if you would like me to move you over to Short Established Beards ... or ... you can stay here one more month - it's up to you, but I'd call it established! It's doing well - keep it!
Thanks! Maybe I'll stay here for another month. I don't think I want a longer beard, but maybe like you said it'll fill in more if I let it grow another month. I hope the mustache gets a little thicker too. I like the way it feels on my neck and I wish it was all that thickness/length.

I'm realizing I don't actually really know how to trim properly or make a neckline. I have a trimmer with a guard that adjusts in 18ths of an inch, but I don't really know what I'd be doing with it -- Starting at some amount longer than the shortest hairs so that only the longer ones get trimmed? I'd worry that I'd mess up the neckline thing. I'd appreciate any advice/instructions on trimming/neckline stuff. Thanks for all the help
