bfrnr summed it up well. "Stealth Growing" is doing regular surface trims to keep the beard neat, but cutting off less than it has grown. It s really just trimming of the wilder and stragglers like he described above. It is a slower approach to growing your beard longer, but it stays neat during the growth so you are able to grow it out longer without it being as noticeable. I don't really recommend doing this until after you have come through the initial growing phase and the beard has found its pattern.
