Greetings, gentlemen. As a follow-up to my last post, here are what the sides looked like before I went back to a Van Dyke again. Should've brushed / combed it before taking the picture. Whoops!

I'd like to try this journey again, either next summer or around the time I turn 20. Hopefully, by then, many of the transitional hairs you see will have gone terminal.

But as I've mentioned before, I really do see this journey as a success. I set out to see what my face's full potential is at this stage, and with a week short of 4 months under my belt, I think I know. Although there were times when I really wanted something more, my main goal in this journey was to see what the sides were capable of, and not necessarily to claim a full beard for myself. That would have been a nice additional bonus, but it wasn't necessary to me, and in the meantime, I'm quite happy with the coverage I have in the front, until my beard decides fill in more.

Again, I can guarantee I wouldn't have lasted this long without everyone's positive and encouraging comments. Thank you. As for what I decide to do next, I don't know. Like I mentioned above, I don't want to trim the mustache if I can avoid it, so I may use this thread to give updates related to that. This thread will definitely be continued mid-late next year, though, if nothing else!

“For God wished women to rejoice in their locks alone growing spontaneously, as a horse in his mane; but has adorned man, like the lions, with a beard.” - St. Clement of Alexandria
