Your comment about the perfect time is spot on.it seems like we all have that sweet spot where it last for about 2-3 days. You wish you could just say stop growing. Just stay exactly like it is. Oh well. Your post is inspiring. I am very fair skinned and have/had lighter colored follicles. I probably couldn't grow anything decent until my mid twenties. The good news is I just turned 40 this year and my beard continues to evolve and grow. I had lots of growth in my thirties. Your stache and goatee are nice. I agree about keeping it relatively short. Once those fine hairs get long, they start to get see through. The suggestion about shaving down the sides almost like a chinstrap would look good on you. But worry not, rock what you got. It looks good.
Thanks for stopping by. As for the chinstrap, I agree, that would be nice, but ironically, it's the jawline where the action is smallest!

Interestingly (and I think my next update might demonstrate this), I've found, that as the cheekline has filled in further (especially on the left), it kind of gives what I would say is a pretty good indication of what the "shape" of a full beard would be on my face, once everywhere fills in properly. Sometimes in reflections I see myself and it "looks" for a split second like I have a genuine beard, because the "full beard shape" is already there -- even though the lower sides are still quite lame. In a funny way, it's almost a nice thing that the upper sides have been filling in first for me. Because most guys lament that their cheek facial hair is weak, whereas in my case, it's already working away, and I just need the other areas to come in. Once they do, I'm set.

See you for the Week 13 / 3 month update. Should be tomorrow, if I can get pictures.
