The deed has been done. The "appearance of greater thickness" is back, and you're right, the shorter goatee and the prominent mustache do go well together.

I've noticed in the past couple weeks that the inner layers of my mustache have lots of transitional hairs. Not sure when those will go terminal, but it gives me something to look forward to for the next several months to a year.

UPDATE 11/02/15: Greetings, all. I decided to trim the mustache a bit, too, because although training it horizontal "worked," I realized I prefer to have a more vertical mustache, and after a while I stopped liking the look that everything going horizontal gave me. Cause the sides are weaker than the center, and having the center getting huge gave it an emphasis I didn't like, and it made the sides look small. So, I trimmed it. We'll see what I decide to do next trim a trim is needed. I did take a bit more off the sides of the mustache than I wanted to, but I do think it's an improvement. The stache is still the focal point for me, and I don't plan to change that.

Also, story you guys will like: I went to a show choir performance tonight some friends of mine are in, and a couple of these friends I hadn't seen in a couple months. Well, to my surprise, many of them were growing beards, thanks to me! And a couple of us took a picture that we were gonna sent to another friend who's needed some encouragement! smiley: laugh

Beard on.

“For God wished women to rejoice in their locks alone growing spontaneously, as a horse in his mane; but has adorned man, like the lions, with a beard.” - St. Clement of Alexandria
