I have been using Minooxidil on my face for 2 weeks and have performed extensive research on the subject prior to using it and am fully aware of all the risks.

Currently I have noticed an increase in beard follicles already and also I have one follice which has 4 hairs in it, very odd.

It is important you are aware of the side effects, the most important of these was written in a study on Minoxidil performed some time ago.  There was an increase in LV Mass (left ventricle) mass of people who used Minoxidil over 6 months.  They used 2% solution with 1ml twice per day.  The study indicated that prolonged use should be researched more thoroughly.Minoxdil can also cause dizzyness.

For this reason I advocate using a much reduced dosage.  Personally I use a small percentage of the dose that is used on your scalp. I use a pipette and measure 0.3ml. I then use a cotton bud and apply this all over the face where the beard follicles are.  I only use this once a day.

The first time I used Minoxidil I connected by finger to an oximeter to measure my pulse and oxygen %.  I also measured my blood pressure at 30 minute intervals over a 4 hour period.

These pieces of equipment are very cheap and such diagnostics will tell you very quickly if you should continue. Some level of dizzyness is normal but if you have rapid heart beat or very low blood pressure, you should cease immediately.

I would advise application of this every day for 3months - if you have no results you should stop,, if you have a good result you can continue for an extra month.  I would not advise more than 4 months even at this low dosage.

I use the 2% liquid form, it is marketed for women wehere I live.  I do not think its very easy to accurately measure the dosage of foam.
