Hello sir,

I havent used Minoxidil personally but Ive read on the subject and will share with you what I know.
The people who manufacture the drug Minoxidil do not reccommend it for beards! The hair structure, composition and chemistry of beards is substantially different from the hair on the scalp. The skin on your face is different from that of the scalp. Minoxidil is not designed to be used in such a way.
Also once you start use of the drug, you'll have to continue its use, when you stop you'll loose your progress. It has side effects which will become more and more likely wih prolonged use!
Minoxidil is a relatively new drug, that is prescribed only in certain patterns of male pattern baldness, and should be attempted only if its absolutely nescessary for the patient to aleviate his condition. Its not supposed to be used on your face and for your beard!

There are no quick tricks for getting full coverage especially at our age! However your coverage maybe way higher than you estimate - 60%. Because beard hair grows in cycles you'll need to grow for at least 13 weeks to asses your situation realistically! Many on this forum have achieved great results in that period and were suprised by their progress!
There is an entire section full with patchy beard success stories

Please can you share with us a few photos of your facial hair, and share with us you progress. Im sure you can achieve results in a much less painful and cost effective way, the way nature intended - by letting time do its thing.
