Thanks Tom, Don and Triibeard. We are having a great time. The Sheriff is helping me finish a project at the moment and we are going to resume the hunt next week.

After just growing the beard without any major problems for almost two years I seem to have hit a bit of a problem recently. I experienced plenty of breakage, especially in the middle of my beard and with the hairs in my soulpatch area. This gives my beard a somewhat straggly, thin appearance. After a longer consultation with my barber I decided to trim the beard back to 8 inches and keep it there for quite a while until the slower growing and broken hairs have caught up with the rest again, then we decided to get rid of the soulpatch altogether. I will also stop using the hair ties and blow-dryer unless absolutely necessary. I will also go back to using the JOICO shampoo that I had the best results with so far. They carry a line for damaged hairs so I have just ordered the matching conditioner and treatments (will post a review later next week). So, slightly annoyed by the setback but bearding on unabated, will probably just need some time to grow back to full bearded form.
