Length usually helps.  My beard also tends to want to curl under my chin - not as dramatic as yours, but ... the longer it got, the more it laid down.  You have a pretty strong curl there, so it may take a bit of work.  It is a fine looking beard and I do think it is very stylish.  The other thing you may try is a hair straightener or go down to a hair stylist and see if they can help you straighten it - not by cutting, maybe a hair relaxer?  It may be a bit harsh, but your beard will survive.  That's another idea.  Depends on what you want and how long you are growing.
