A quick review for this soap - as quick as it has been used up. I finished it so quickly, it disappeared before I could even make a picture of it, so I'm using this stock photo.

I'm reviewing the BAXTER OF CALIFORNIA - PACIFIC BEACH Soap.

This soap found it's way into my shopping cart, while I was buying a few other soaps

It's not touted as a hair or even beard care product, but it's glycerin based and should therefore be suitable. Besides that I was interested in the scent of it - lime and herbs (???).

This is a junky bar of a soap and a bit too thick initially, but that adds to the lush feeling and the thickness melts away quickly. A bar or puck, respectively weighs 100 g and costs 9,-- € or 8,-- US$ directly from Baxter of C.
The ingredients are ok in my book, but nothing fancy organic: Sodium Myristate, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Stearate, Sodium Cocoate, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Vitamin E (Tocopheryl Acetate), Vitamin A und D (Retinyl Palmitate), Fragrance (Parfum), Sea Kelp Extract, Benzophone-4, Red 40

The smell. though, could be more intense imho. - it's a nice grape-fruity smell that could be much stronger for my taste and the foam is very thick and luxurious. Nobody complained about the smell, it was probably to subtle to offend anybody. I used this soap all over my body and really liked it, but it melted away like snow on a hot summer day in my hands. The Shipwreck Soap lasted much, much longer.

However, the short flirt was nice and I can't complain. It did the job better than a common body-wash. I had not much to moisturise my skin, which is very sensitive, afterwards. In the beard and hair it was great. The hair didn't fluff up as it used to with other soaps. In the hair it acts as a conditioner, I could spike up or slick it back very easily with little or without product. For the beard it is on par or even better than the shipwreck soap, but the smell and the haptic feeling of the shipwreck soap is to die for.

Will I use it again, yeah, very likely, but I'll try the Atlantic smell the next time.
