Welcome to the board! The only thing I think I would do is to maybe carve a neckline. About a finger's width above the adam's apple and parallel to the jawline going back towards the back of the neck. Or just let it grow. You need a minimum of 13 weeks for a beard to grow out. I think a lot of people that you see at your workshop will recognize that you are growing a beard and it could be a conversation starter. I would not worry about it. As to the beard, I think you have potential. About 7-8 weeks you may see some slower growing hairs (hair grows in cycles and at differing rates) ... so ... I'd carry on. Again, if you feel uncomfortable, I'd only carve a neckline ... Welcome, man! Keep it growing and post here weekly!!
