Without being stranded on a distant shore, I’m reviewing the Mr. Natty Shipwreck Soap.

I was tinkering around with soaps and already used this one up in the process. The heat made me hitting the shower quite more often and I also washed my beard more often, to get the sweaty feeling out of it. I used the Shipwreck Soap as well on my short trip to Davos as a one and only soap/ shampoo combo over the weekend and really liked it.

For all of you who aren’t familiar with him, Mr. Natty (born Matt Raine) is a London barber who wants to bring men grooming products with a „bing bong“ and that marketing seems to appeal to me

The Shipwreck Soap is not a beard soap per se, more of an universal all purpose soap. The list of ingredients is pleasantly short:

Sodium Olivate, Sodium Cocoate, Sodium Palmate, Glycerin, Aqua, Therabroma Cacao Seed Butter, Vetiveria Zizanoides Root Oil, Ricinus Communis Seed Oil, Pogostemon Cablin Leaf Oil, Therabroma Cacao

And that makes the soap very suitable for the beard - or my beard in this case.

100 g come in for about 10 €, so it’s not cheap, but ok. You can get it via Amazon in the US for 14 US$.

If you don’t like patchouli, this one isn’t for you. It isn’t sweet smelling, more spicy and musky. My daughter and wife didn’t like the smell of the soap bar, but didn’t avoid me after having used it, neither dropped a remark.

I think Natty made an even better job with this product than with the Face Forest Soap. However, it comes without an container, so you have get one for yourself. During our last heat period, when hitting the shower, I grabbed the Shipwreck Soap most of the time, despite plenty other options and I used it up very quickly - probably in a couple of weeks. But I used it on my hair, body and often washed the beard with it, whether needed or not, because I really liked the smell and the foam.

Downside, it’s used up already, and I miss it - yes, you can miss a soap bar and I plan on piling up in the future, after having used up all my other soaps

Bing Bong-Factor: 4.5 of 5

If you don’t mind patchouli, I highly recommend it.
