Here's a long overdue update. My beard began its transition from a goatee nearly 5 months ago, the facial hair project itself began at the end of September so coming up for 9 months. The length is now 5" so that's a inch (25 mm) since I was moved to long beards, i.e. 10 mm a month which I guess is par for the course.

My beard is a bit thin at the bottom mainly from how the barber originally styled the goatee; it will catch up in due course. I'm still enjoying my sikh martial arts and have some staggering beards to draw inspiration from. I'm aiming for a terminal beard and hoping the end of 2016, 27 total months will suffice. My wife hates my beard. Conversely, my kids made various Father's Day cards for me all with beard drawings of me which was great.

I think it's a good look, I keep getting told people don't think I'm 51. I think it thickens and strengthen my lower jaw/face in a complimentary way that beards invariably do.

Bearded for life!!!!
