Hi Sano,
You grow a great looking beard; it really suits you. Good density/coverage, nice symmetry and fantastic colour. There is no reason that you should shave it. Perhaps, you will consider keeping it permanently instead? I have had my beard year round for nearly seven years now and as to the summer heat, there is no issue with that. In fact there are some big advantages to being bearded in the sun/heat: 1) Beards act as a natural protection from the sun and are a great windscreen. 2) When wet, they can provide a nice cooling ability too.
In regards to maintenance, I have my own trimming routine in my thread (link below - Post #20). You might find some of the information there useful. Btw, your beard looks excellent at its current length; if and when you decide to trim just go slow and take off a small amount at a time.
Enjoy your beard and welcome,
- Fred
