Sorry for the late reply to everyone. It's been crazy.
I am still bearded, with a circle beard now a few weeks longer. I've started to let it widen on the jaw, about an additional half inch has been added as stubble so far. I have to admid that as I look at the gallery of photos I've uploaded to this board, I do miss hte full beard and big stache. But at the same time, what I now have is a much better look from a professional perspective. After months of being ribbed by friends and colleagues about my beard with comments and jokes, I just spent two days in the office with my boss and colleagues, including a very social dinner, and
not a single comment
was made about my beard. As Simmo said w.r.t. to a potentially clean-shaven Phesmo a couple of months ago, this could be because I blend in like any other average guy now. I actually think that it is probably a combinatio of the fact that I've had facial hair for 6 months now so they are used to it, and that it doesn't have anything "special" like handlebars or extraordinary length to make it a focal point. It's just a part of me now.
I've included a couple pics from the office. Waves are starting to appear if I don't balm/brush so it may be approaching the length that I will max at at this stage. I toy with thoughts of building length again in the stache, and even have thoughts about a solo-handlebars future, but stache care and behaviors were the main reason I went for the big trim so I am not sure how likely it is.
But it sure is fun fantasizing!
