Just a quick little update on this beautiful Tuesday. I was able to use IrishDan's products this morning during and after my shower. See my post from yesterday about the stach wax, I give that product on OVERWHELEMING thumbs up. It held for hours.

Dan sent me a sample of his new creamy vanilla soap. I gave it a go this morning. First thing I noticed was the smell wasn't overwhelming, it lathered fairly easily, and my beard felt clean and soft after I washed with it. That's all I wanted from this soap and I will be purchasing a larger bar in the future. I love my pine tar soap, but this creamy vanilla soap will vie for cleaning time. I also know that BaldyBeardy makes a highly reviewed PineTar soap as well that I will also try when my Grandpa's Pine Tar soap runs out.

The next product I was excited to try was the creamy vanilla beard balm. The smell is very nice and deep, but not overwhelming. It seems to be the perfect mix of essential oils to get the smooth vanilla smell. I scraped a little on my finger nail, rubbed it together to melt it, and applied it to my beard. The end results speak for themselves:

My beard has never looked nicer. It also feels so nice and soft. And it is shiny! I grabbed a few more shots that I think look great:

My mustache was styled this morning with my homemade wax. I wanted to see how it would do as a mustache wax and it works well! Now not near as well as BaldyBeardy's but I believe I made a valient effort for my first try!

All in all, I couldn't be happier with my BaldyBeardy products. Great job IrishDan, you've created products you should be very proud of!

In 1567, Hans Steininger, the burgomaster of Braunau (then Bavaria, now Austria), died when he broke his neck by tripping over his own beard. The beard, which was 4.5 feet (1.4 m) long at the time, was usually kept rolled up in a leather pouch. --source (Beard Responsibly, my friends)
