I have long hair, that is considered feminine. However, there is nothing feminine about my moustache. My partner is hairy, but there is no question of femininity/masculinity in our relationship. She has a low voice for a women - still not as low as my naturally high voice. It's obvious I'm the masculine one and it's obvious that she's the feminine one. I don't need her to shave her body to validate my masculinity. I also don't need to grow facial hair to validate my masculinity, but apparently that is not that case for a lot of us. I know that if I was single I would be interested in women with feminine traits, but growing facial hair has made me realize it is just as ridiculous to expect a woman to shave her hair as it is to expect a man to shave his hair.
