Ok Week 6 here we are...
I'm impressed this week with how comfortable my beard is. The itchiness I was suffering seems to have subsided, but I have had bad skin, maybe because I've been ill and still a little run down, maybe due to overuse of jojoba oil, or even just the fact I'm using it at all! I'm cutting down on it a little (don't really think I was overdoing it), and hopefully it will subside.
I do have very sensitive skin and the slightest thing (like shaving!) causes a reaction and spots. always has.

I've noticed a couple of things this week to make me smile - if I curl my bottom lip out, the bunch of hair below it rubs with the hair further down my chin, and feels really thick. And on my cold morning walk to work, I noticed that my beard was actually keeping my face warm! I lifted my hand to feel it and it was much colder on the outside than my face was on the insde. very cool.
So although I haven't seen much difference to look at, those two things have defined week 6 for me.

Oh, I also decided to tidy my neck up as I'm interviewing potential interns tomorrow and didn't want to look too scruffy. I started off real low on the neck, and crept up as I spotted unevenness - making mini mistakes and trying to correct until I couldn't bring myself to go any further.

Opinions welcome, if my photos show the neckline well enough.

So, to mark the passing of steven123's fine beard, and to show solidarity and encourage him in his next endeavour - and also to show off the hat my wife knitted me this week because she likes beanies and beards - my update photos this week include a hat.

Apologies or the lack of smiles, I seem incapable of grinning and pressing a button at the same time... I am happy to be bearded, honest.

Beard on :0)))
